Overview
Riad Nyla occupies two connected riads in the Dar El Bacha quarter, designed by Italian architect Mattia Siviero and interior designer Corinne Dressler around the concept of returning to natural elements. The buildings are linked by a rooftop passage, and the interiors layer traditional Moroccan craft (zellige, carved woodwork in moucharabieh patterns, arched doorways) with contemporary materials and restrained modern lines. The property welcomes guests aged 14 and above only, keeping the atmosphere firmly adult and quiet. The spa and wellness area fills a 220-square-metre basement room set beneath arches and barrel vaults. The design evokes entry into a natural cave: deep brown ceramic walls frame a heated indoor swimming pool, while the vaulted ceiling above is finished in dark stone to suggest a night sky. Adjacent spaces hold a hammam clad in pale Pietra di Savoia ceramic, a sauna, two massage rooms, and a dedicated beauty treatment room. A whirlpool completes the circuit. The whole level runs on integrated solar heat pumps, a detail invisible to guests but typical of the riad's attention to both comfort and sustainability. Treatments are built around Nectarome products, an organic Moroccan brand rooted in plant cultivation and Berber herbal traditions. The Hammam Marrakchi is the core ritual: eucalyptus black soap scrub with kessa glove, ghassoul body mask with seven plants, and argan oil hydration. Combined packages extend the sequence with relaxing massage and facials. A couples' ritual pairs the full Nyla hammam with simultaneous argan oil massages scented with ginger and ylang-ylang. The Pamper Me formula runs the complete course: hammam, one-hour massage, and a 30-minute radiance facial. The spa is open to non-residents by appointment. Day visitors can combine pool access and sauna with lunch on the rooftop or in the candlelit patio courtyard, where the kitchen serves light, inventive dishes. A rooftop plunge pool provides a second option for cooling down between treatments, with views across the Medina rooftops. The location, 500 metres from Le Jardin Secret and steps from the Dar El Bacha Palace, places the riad in one of the Medina's most refined pockets.
