Overview

Kosy Spa occupies the lower floors of the same riad as the well-known Kosybar, on the corner of Place des Ferblantiers in the Mellah, Marrakech's historic Jewish quarter. The building sits between the Royal Palace and the ruins of El Badi Palace, on a square where tinsmiths still work their lanterns and storks nest on the ancient ramparts overhead. It is a location with more character than most spa addresses in the city, and the transition from sunlit square to candlelit interior happens in just a few steps. Inside, the spa is finished in dark, atmospheric tones with traditional Moroccan detailing. Treatment rooms are spread across several levels, and the centrepiece is a sensory pool with hydro-massage jets, warm enough to linger in before or after treatments. The hammam follows the traditional ritual: steam, black soap exfoliation with eucalyptus, ghassoul clay body mask, and a thorough rinse. Massages include a relaxing argan oil option, a tonic version for deeper tension work, and a signature four-hand treatment. Facials and body wraps draw on natural Moroccan products. Couple packages combine hammam, massage, and private jacuzzi time, while longer rituals add facial treatments and extended pool access for a half-day experience. The atmosphere is quiet and unhurried. Therapists work with care, and mint tea arrives between treatments without needing to be asked. The combination of pool, steam room, and treatment rooms gives the visit a sense of progression that many smaller Medina spas lack. After the last treatment, the building itself offers a rare bonus: you can walk upstairs to the Kosybar terrace for a glass of wine or a cocktail at sunset, watching the storks circle their nests on the palace walls while the call to prayer drifts across the rooftops. Few spas in Marrakech let you pair a hammam with a view like that, and the proximity to both Bahia and El Badi palaces means Kosy Spa fits easily into a day spent exploring the southern Medina.
