Overview

Atlas Golf Marrakech sits ten minutes from Jemaa el-Fna, a proximity that makes it one of the most accessible courses in the city and one of the most distinct in character. The nine-hole layout was conceived in harmony with the landscape and vegetation of southern Morocco, and what that intention produced is a course that moves less like a conventional fairway sequence and more like a botanical garden with golf threaded through it. Palms, olive trees, waterfalls, and a lake punctuate the terrain; lavender grows along the edges of some holes; arums appear unexpectedly near the water. The course measures 2,245 metres and plays with contoured fairways, split-level greens, and water hazards that demand precision above distance. Technical par-3s concentrate the challenge, with angles and elevations requiring more club management than raw power. Narrow in sections and generous in others, the layout shifts its character between holes in ways that keep the round alert. A wadi crosses the property, contributing both to drainage and to the visual texture of the terrain. The Atlas Mountains are present throughout, visible between the treelines as snow-capped geometry above the warm tones of the course. The clubhouse completes the round with a terrace facing that view, alongside a restaurant and pro shop. For golfers staying in the Medina, Atlas Golf offers something genuinely rare: a full round within easy reach of the old city, without the half-day logistics that most Marrakech courses require.
