Overview
The Royal Mansour contains four bar spaces, each calibrated for a different register of the evening. The Main Bar opens with energy and an Art Deco sensibility: a hand-sculpted silver ceiling, walls lined with rose gold leaf, vintage carved chairs, a soundtrack recorded specifically for the palace that pulses with a Roaring Twenties spirit. It is the most animated of the four, and the right choice when the evening wants to move. The Fireplace Lounge requires a different mood. Dimmed to near-dark, it is all fragrant leathers, inlaid woodwork, and floral-patterned screens that open onto garden paths. At its centre, a transparent fireplace crackles at the foot of the palm trees: an architectural detail that manages to feel both surreal and completely natural. The Library operates as something quieter still, furnished with reed inlay furniture and books focused on Moroccan culture and decorative arts. The Cigar Bar, on the first floor, completes the quartet with a mother-of-pearl lined cabinet displaying an edited selection of cigars. Throughout all four spaces, the cocktail programme runs as a serious operation. The mixologists here approach each drink as an aromatic composition, combining infused spirits and local botanicals into drinks designed to feel like experiences. The Royal Mansour places you deep inside the Medina but sealed away from it entirely, within a walled property that functions as a city within a city. The bars reflect this duality: opulent and precise, entirely removed from the streets outside.
